A Message from our Executive Director
The Sacramento Community Clinic Consortium began life in 1994 as an association of clinics who banded together when their funding streams were threatened. We have grown since that time to serve as an advocate for our members in Sacramento’s healthcare safety net community. The mission of the Sacramento Community Clinic Consortium is to support continual growth and service improvements for its members, and we are now applying that mission statement to ourselves.
I am proud to announce that the Sacramento Community Clinic Consortium is now the Capitol Community Health Network.
No, there's no reason to panic; it's still very much the same game we've all come to know and love. Our goal has always been to provide superior service and support for our members, but now we don’t expect the community to try so hard to keep us separate from similarly named organizations within Sacramento. Additionally, since we have grown so much as an organization, we no longer have to rely on impressive and equally unpronounceable Latin terms, such as “Consortium”, to identify ourselves.
In the coming weeks, we will be updating all our outreach and press materials to reflect our new name and logo. We are also developing our new website, capitolhealthnetwork.org, which will go online during the first week of June.
The need for services is significant and the support from the community is enthusiastic. As we expand our capacity to assist our member clinics in fulfilling their missions, and our influence in the healthcare community, we are totally committed to Capitol Community Health Network’s growth in future years.
